GIVE YOUR FACE A HUG WITH OUR TOP 5 MASKS

Nothing beats having a hot soaky bath whilst giving your face some extra TLC when it’s cold outside. For today’s post we’re sharing our favourite facemasks on the market at the moment that will help give your skin the boost it needs this month.

1.      REN ‘EVERCALM ULTRA COMFORTING RESCUE MASK’

The only way of describing this mask is to imagine having a duvet (or cloud) on your skin. REN have created a soothing, lightweight and sensitive-friendly mask that leaves the skin feeling silky smooth. Created to tackle signs of stress, a daily occurrence for yours truly, I would recommend using this just before bed as it puts you into a dreamy, relaxing trance that sets you up nicely for a long night’s sleep.

2.     BEAUTY KITCHEN ‘SEAHORSE PLANKTON 5 MINUTE MIRACLE MASK’

I know what you’re thinking… ‘Seahorse plankton’… yes you read that correct…seahorse plankton is now a skincare ingredient and we’re all over it! To be used for as little as 5 minutes (up to 15 minutes if desired), this mask is a simple way to achieve instant results for refreshed and glowing skin. Sourced through natural and sustainable methods, seahorse plankton micro-algae has been shown to result in cleansed, plumped and firmed skin!

3.      L’OREAL ‘PURE CLAY DETOX MASK’

L’Oreal Paris have introduced their first ever facemask collection and we are more than impressed, in particular with the charcoal detox mask. The formula is designed to act as a magnet for impurities. With a rich, creamy texture it is easily applied and hardens on the skin’s surface after just 10 minutes.  After drying, the mask feels tight around the face, almost as if pulling out the tiredness and awakening the skin to give a brighter, healthier finish. For such a low price, it’s hard to believe that the effects could be at all noticeable, but the rest of the world seem to be in agreement with us as it’s a hot favourite as of late!

4.     VICHY ‘DOUBLE GLOW PEEL MASK’

This facemask is definitely the most hydrating of them all. If you’re skins in need of some serious moisture and you’re tired of not having that glowy finish, then Vichy’s DoubleGlow Peel mask is a fitting choice. Containing an exfoliator made with a volcanic rock origin (pretty cool right?), the ingredients work to buff and brighten your skin tone as well as being enriched with thermal spring water to soothe and hydrate the complexion.

5. GLAMGLOW ‘GRAVITYMUD FIRMING TREATMENT MASK’

This wouldn’t be a true facemask piece if I didn’t include GLAMGLOW’S GravityMud Firming Treatment mask. This chromatic mask might have you resembling the tin man from The Wizard of Oz for about 20 minutes but once peeled off, your face feels tighter and contours are more visible. Now, it’s fair to say there’s been a mixed response from the Internet about this particular mask; some claiming not to notice any difference, and others suffering from experiencing skin irritation, so I would definitely suggest avoiding this if your skin is particularly sensitive. From personal use over the last 6 months, I have been extremely satisfied with the results; my (non-existent) contours feel stronger after use and I notice how it really does pull out all the dirt from my pores. On some occasions I notice my skin slightly breaks out after use, but to me this is a good thing as it pulls everything out, only to then be completely clear in a few days.
