From the catwalks to Instagram, strobing is the new make up technique that everybody just can't get enough of. I had the Sleek Precious metals palette sitting in my box for a while, and to be quite frank I didn't really know what to do with it until now....

Sleek Precious Metals Highlighting Palette
The palette contains 4 different metallic shades, all well suited to every skin tone. After I use Nars creamy concealer in Caramel (which is about 3 shades lighter than my skin tone) under my eyes and down the middle of my nose, I then use the darkest shade on the sleek palette (antique gold) to highlight the high points of my cheek bones. I use the remaining 3 colours and my finger lightly to highlight my brow bone, bridge of my nose, inner corner of my eyes, under my chin and centre of my forehead. I should mention that this palette contains one powder and 3 creamy (but thick) formulas.
What surprises me most about this strobing technique is that it actually works as well as highlighting AND contouring, but it gives a more natural effect. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to give up contouring my nose any time soon but this gives me the cheekbones I've always wanted, whilst giving the appearance that I was actually born with them. This palette is definitely worth the investment, as if you're a complete "Strobing" newbie like me, it has everything you pretty much need to get started. For more precise application on the nose and inner corner of the eyes, a concealer brush can also be used.
