Whats in my GYM bag?

I haven't done a whats in my bag for a while, and I feel like my gym motivation needs a little boost, so of course, I gave my gym wardrobe a style revamp true blogger style, and I thought I'd share it with you! A few items you'll have to imagine, because I buy them whilst I'm there, or I didn't chuck them in, but here we go....

THE BAG ITSELF

It's really difficult to find stylish but functional gym and school bags these days, so I always turn to Forever21's selection of weekend bags. Their range is beautiful, and the cream one I chose out has more than enough space for all my stuff to fit inside. There are also smaller pockets for little things like my phone and hair clips. The studded label adds a little bit of edge to an otherwise pretty minimalistic piece.

SILVER CLUTCH BAG

This simplistic piece is probably intended for other events, such as a night out, but that's never stopped me from using it as my essentials bag... It's usually packed with things such as perfume, lipstick, hand cream, a travel sized deodorant and more... just in case. I also keep my keys, headphones, ID and stuff like that in there, which means they're easily transferrable when I want to change bags from my school bag, to gym bag, or a shopping  It doesn't hurt to keep things like that with you at all times!

NIKE FREE RUN FLYKNIT 3.0 TRAINERS

My older trainers were starting to hurt my feet, and honestly, it was a bit of a shock to go from really cushioned supportive trainers, to these that give you a bare foot running feel. I heard the story behind these, was that Nike asked a team they sponsored, which of their trainers helped runners improve the most, and the answer was- None! In fact, those that ran bare foot improved on their times because it helps to build strength in your feet and legs, making you less likely to injure yourself. Unless you step on a shard of glass of course... but that's what free runs protect you from. Mine were £85 from JD SPORTS.

A HAIR BRUSH

Kind of a no brainer. As my hair's short right now, I brush it and put half of it up but leave the rest down, as it doesn't even touch my shoulders. However, the brush is great for putting your hair up into a ponytail or messy bun!

DEODERANT & PERFUME

I usually spray this on before I start my work out, and then again during or afterwards, depending on my work rate. It's a must have in everybody's bag though! The one above in my pictures are from Zara.

HAIRBANDS AND HAIR SLIDES

I'm not the only one that will get a pack of these and all of a sudden they're all gone, right? So it doesn't hurt to keep a stash in my gym bag, for those days when I don't have one on my wrist.

NARS CREAMY CONCEALER

One thing that's not good looking is a face full of foundation dripping down your face along with your sweat... I avoid going to the gym with a full face of make up, however if I'm looking particularly  tired and worn out, I use this concealer to brighten up under my eyes....

HEMA SOFT EYELINER PEN

...Then I use this to put eyeliner on, if I feel like it....

DIOR MASCARA

.... And I finish off with mascara, as my eyelashes are so short, they look almost non existent. These 3 combined are a great way to make your eyes pop without plastering your face in make up!

VOSS WATER

This stuff is £6 a bottle, so naturally I haven't decided to top up with the actual water. The bottle is glass, but it is really pretty and great to put put detox water in (fruits + water). If I'm honest, the artesian water doesn't taste much different to the stuff I drink everyday, but the bottle is worth investing in!

BLACK TOWEL

Once you've worked up a sweat, the towel is great to wipe it off with. My towel was around £3 from Hema once again. There are also really simple towels in Ikea in a range of colours, which I love!

GYM KIT

My gym kit varies from practical to fashionable, from price ranges of Nike to Forever 21. Nike is a classic place to get great running and workout leggings, however at £40-£50 a pair, it can take a while to build up a gym wardrobe. If you're looking for a quick fix to that, Forever 21's sport range is perfect, and I also have a couple of leggings from Missguided's activewear range.

NATURE VALLEY OATS & HONEY SNACK BAR

I always seem to munch on one of these if I don't have much energy, or if I'm craving something to eat after my workout. It's not too high in calories, its got a bit of a sweet flavour so it keeps me going, and stops that OMG IM SO TIRED GIVE ME MCDONALDS urge.
