Hey guys! I'm being forced to give up Netflix for the next 3 months whilst I crack on revising with my A levels, however, every now and then I'll need something to fill my short breaks between revision hours. There's nothing too distracting about rewatching something you've already seen, because that way I won't always have to be tempted to watch the next episode or even finish them. That being said, I thought I'd share my rewatches for the next 3 months with you, and what I love about them! So here's a list of shows that I've loved on Netflix which are around 20 minutes long or less.
ITS ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA
Starring a bunch of characters with negative traits such as laziness, cockiness and more, it's hard to believe that such a crowd of people can be so lovable and give you such a laugh. Each episode is around 22 minutes long, with 10 episodes in a series. I find the last few seasons are really hit and miss, but that aside, if you're in need for something that's a quick watch to fill some time, this could be the show for you. It's even got Charlie Day in it, a guy who's quickly become one of my favourites since I saw him in Pacific Rim- his voice has a strange tone but it's wonderful to listen to him speak!
I loved this show 100% from start to finish. Each episode is 20 minutes, with the occasional seasonal special that lasts an hour, but all the characters are so lovable. The story of Pam & Jim is a lovely one to follow, and it's so great to see other characters such as Michael Scott, Ryan and Kelly grow in each season. The rivalry between Dwight and Jim and their office pranks are also pretty amusing. Just when you think it couldn't get any better, each episode has a really funny mini episode which often is completely unrelated to the full show, just before the title sequence!
Rating: 4/5 from me.
If you don't have a slightly vulgar sense of humour then don't watch this one! Archer is a spy who's mother is his boss, and his dysfunctional relationship with her and his coworkers makes a good watch. In between all of this, theres action, rude jokes, and occasionally Archer displays great spy skills. Only occasionally. There's mostly a different mission in each episode, with a loose plot running through each series, so it's not one of those binge watching shows unless you have a lot of time to kill. One of the characters (Cheryl? She changes her name a lot), also decides to be a country singer at some point, and if you have a look around on the internet you'll find her full country album...
This show for me, has been perfect after a night out when my friends and I are eating fast food trying to sober up- but it's also great for cheering you up when you're down or feeling sick! It follows the adventures of Finn the Human and Jake The Dog, and each episode is about 10 minutes long, and every single one is magically different. Although it's meant to be a kids show, there are some sly adult jokes scattered about, and honestly you'd think the people that wrote it are on drugs! Even the floating cloud princess LSP's name sounds a lot like a drug....You have to watch the whole thing, because if you leave for 2 minutes and come back, you'll seriously be left wondering what the heck is going on......
BROOKLYN NINE NINE
I watched this recently, and it's got a pretty similar format to the office. Based in the office of the 99th Precinct Police Department, the force have to face mostly minor crimes, and deal with each other's silly antics. It's packed with dry humour, but it keeps you really entertained none the less. The main character Jake Peralta is pretty childish, and its hard not to relate to Gina who comes out with things like "I am the Paris of people". Who can't totally relate to that, right?
Which one of these are you most likely to watch? Whats your favourite show to watch when you're bored?
