The Great Lash review

If I said I was looking around for a new mascara, I'd be lying. The maybelline plush maschara is perfection and I haven't really been able to find anything else that matched up to it until this...

We crossed paths by luck. I didn't actually directly make a purchase of this, it was one of those things that ended up in my London Fashion Weekend goody bag for free. I didn't think much of it at first; I let it sit in my make up bag for a while because I really was judging a book by its cover. It's packaging is so different to the mascaras that we see on the shelves today, with a kind of retro look that made me overlook it because it just seemed so basic. But thats just it- we've been tricked into thinking these new oversized, weirdly shaped brushes are going to do the trick. This great lash mascara is very simple, it has a normal looking brush and it does its job properly. Not without a few coats admittedly, but I have very short eyelashes anyway and need to go over them a few times before they can actually be witnessed. I'm not sure if the photos above really do the product justice, but if you're looking for a pure black, no bull crap and does-what-it-says-on-the-packaging mascara, then this is the one for you. It can be purchased online here at Boots for £4.99. It also comes in a waterproof version. I'm yet to try it but if you do, let me know how it holds up...
