Sophisticated Event Outfit Idea

I (Luisa) attended a 50th party on Saturday evening; on arriving, I realised it was jolly lucky I dressed so smart as we were greeted with champagne on the red carpet entrance! As this kind of an event is such a rarity for me, I thought it would be nice to show what I wore and how I did my makeup as possible future guidance for you!

The shoes I decided to wear were from Dune; the stiletto heel is a nice option as oppose to the increasingly popular thick heeled wedges as it offers elegance to the outfit as a whole. With the tip including subtle snake skin pattern and the gold strip across, it gives the shoes a simplistic, yet noticeable, design (without being too OTT!).
For the extras, I opted for Urban Outfitters Nail Varnish in "Glade" as it matched the darkest sections of my dress without drawing too much attention to my nails. The eyelashes I decided to use are the Eyelure "No. 121" lashes; they are light enough to not cover the eyeshadow, but gradually get heavier towards the outer crease of the eye in order to give more of a smokey effect for the shadow.
For my makeup, I chose to go for an autumnal gold/bronze look. I used Macs "Amber Light" across the lid and Macs "Bronze" in the crease I finished with any black eye shadow on the very edge to create even more of a smokey effect. I used a black pencil eyeliner on the top lid and all across my upper and lower water line. I Added the two Mac shadows below my bottom lashes and finished by using Urban Decays Gold Eyeliner pencil in the tear ducts.
The dress I wore is from Ted Baker; it has gold buttons on the left shoulder. The green layer on top rests across, but is not attached to the under layer of the dress itself, the left arm loosely. The dress is black across the back and proved very comfy throughout the night as well as making me feel like a million dollars! The design is not terribly chaotic and the colours softly merge together to create a perfect autumnal look for this kind of event!

I hope this has helped
Happy partying, love Luisa x
